Atlético Dominate Game But Can Only Draw Against San Miguel NOB

14th November, 2010.

Atlético Andalucía CF kicked off their fifth home game of 2010-11 campaign as the club faced fellow strugglers San Miguel NOB.

Share's return to the team would start in bad manner when freak goal was scored after only 10 minutes of play. San Miguel's weak shot bounced awkwardly over not just one defender but also over goalkeeper Moreno which enabled San Miguel to slot the ball home and lead the game 1-0.

After the goal Atletico would push forward and started to find their game. With many chances the club could not level the score in till the 30th minute when Riveros headed the ball in the back of the net only for the goal to be wrongly disallowed.

The home team kept pushing forward and only few minutes later Ismael Flores was brought down in the penalty area for a clear cut penalty. Again the referee would look away. With 5 minutes left the home team would not be denied when from a corner a loose ball fell to Daniel Leoches who hammered the ball into the top left corner to level the score 1-1.

In the second half the game would start in the same fashion with the first ten minutes being played at a slow pace but the home team would increase the tempo and started to push forward looking to take the lead. Becerra, Davey and Leoches all had several chances but could not break the deadlock as the game would end 1-1. In the second half alone Atletico had 21 shots with 15 of them being on target.

Coach Share went on to say "I thought we showed at times good charachter, we have to be honest and feel that we threw two points away. We had over 32 shots in the whole game and to only get 19 on target and have one goal tells it's own story. We get ourselves in a great position to score but we really lack ruthlessness in front of goal. As much as we are disappointed we will take many positives out of our performance and we need to take that into the next game. It will be a hard game against Tollox not to mention a long travel but we will be ready".

The club's next game is on Sunday 21st of November away against AD Tollox with a 16:00pm kickoff.
