Atlético Lose Game 1-4 As Estepona CF Score Three In Last Minutes

Atlético Andalucía CF kicked off their Seventh home game of 2010-11 campaign as the championship reaches the half way point. The club faced joint league leaders Estepona CF. The away team previously beat joint leaders Marbella 5-1 at home and would be full of confidence when facing Atletico.

Atletico looked to continue their unbeaten run on Coach Share´s birthday and the team started the game the better with a lot of the possession. After 20 minutes of play the home team finally broke the deadlock when Atletico were awarded a penalty. Ismael Lledo who scored from the kickoff last game against CES Nueva Andalucia would take the penalty to give the home team a 1-0 lead.

A quarter of a hour later Estepone would show why they are the league leaders when on 34 minutes they would equalize from good build up play. The 1st half would end 1-1.

The second half saw the game being evenly contested. Both teams would have chances to take the lead and all three points but no goals would materialize. With the game looking to be a certain draw and only five minutes left of play Estepona would take the lead when from just inside the penalty box a well struck shot found the back of the net.

Atletico now looking to push forward to equalize would be vulnerable against counter attacks and when in 88th minute after a failed attack Estepona broke loose to add a third goal and secure all three points.

Things got even worse for the home side when Estepona added another goal in last few seconds when Francisco Granados found the back of the net. The game would end 4-1 to Estepona who now sit three points clear at the top of the league standings.

The club's next game is on Sunday 19th of December at home against title contenders Athletic Fuengirola with a 17:00pm kickoff. The game will be the last game before the winter break.
