Atlético Andalucia CF Beat Benahavis In Friendly With Late Goals10th August, 2010
Atlético Andalucía CF kicked off their second pre season game for the 2010-2011 season. Coach Share had 16 fit senior players available for the game as several players came back from injury as well as two new editions to the squad.
Atlético started the game well but both teams were evenly matched in the first 20 mins as both teams did not have many chances.

The game needed something special to come to life and Atlético´s Jhon Campino Correa did not disappoint when he cut into the center of the pitch from the left to curl the ball with his right past the goalkeeper to give Atlético the lead on 24 minutes.

Both teams started to play more openly and Benahavis took full advantage of a counter attack with a smart ball played across the goal to level the score with 10 minutes left in the 1st half.

In the 2nd half Coach Share made several changes to try and push his side more forward. Atlético had few chances but found it hard to find a decisive ball in the third half of the pitch. With the score looking to end a draw and only 15 minutes left Coach Share brought himself on to try and change the game. The game would be Share´s debut for the club.

Atlético Andalucia CF started to move the ball quicker and with both their forwards now closing down the Benahavis defence the team looked more dangerous and on the 80th minute Share closed down the Benahavis goalkeeper who´s bad clearance fell to Alberto Salas who calmly slotted the ball in a empty net to make the score 2-1 to Atlético Andalucia CF.

Five minutes later Mike Share won the ball in the midfield and beat two players and a strong challenge to run half the field with the ball and finished the move with a stunning chip past the goalkeeper from just inside of the right side of the box making the final score 3-1 to Atlético Andalucia CF.

Atlético Andalucía CF's Head Coach Share said "It´s a catch 22 we got the result but I have to say we were very disappointing hence why I put myself on with fifteen minutes to go. We are a good team but we have to be able to play well for most of the game not just for small periods. I felt we still need to work on pushing the midfield more higher up the pitch and the central midfielders need to know when they need to come short. Tomorrow we have the day off and then we are back at training preparing for the Estepona game which hopefully will give us the result and performance I am looking for ".

The club will play Estepona on Saturday the 14th of August at 6pm kick off in the Francisco Munoz Perez stadium. All tickets are free for the game.
