Atlético Win Heated Andalucia Derby Against CES Nueva Andalucia

Atlético Andalucía CF kicked off their fifth away game of 2010-11 campaign as the club played local rivals CES Nueva Andalucia in the Andalucia Derby.

The game at the Estadio Complejo Depotivo La Campana would all be about few chances, many bookings and a hostile atmosphere.

The home team CES Nueva Andalucia started the game the better and had much of the possession but in the third half the pitch the home team would struggle as they could not find that decisive ball. After 20 minutes of play the home team finally broke the deadlock when a ball switched to the left side of the pitch was neatly taken down and slotted into the back of the net to take a 1-0 lead.

The home team´s joy would be short live when from the kick off the ball was passed to Atletico forward Lledo who from the half way point shot in the top corner to level the score.

The spectacular goal would spur the away team on for the remainder of the 1st half. As Atletico pushed forward a great ball over the top from Scott Steele found last weeks hatrick hero Noel Rios Rodriguez who cut inside of the box to slot a low shot past CES Nueva Andalucia´s goalkeeper. Atletico Forward Noel´s fourth goal in two games made the score 2-1.

The second half saw the away team dominate the game with many missed chances but the last 30 minutes would be all about players getting booked and making rash tackles. Seven yellow cards were given to both teams as the game heated up for a typical Derby. The only bad note for Atletico was when goalscorer Noel was sent off for a second yellow card when he kicked the ball away. The forward will now miss next weeks crucial game against Estepona CF B.

The game would end with Atletico Andalucia CF beating CES Nueva Andalucia 2-1 in the Andalucia Derby. The win helps Atletico climb to 8th place with a game in hand on 7th place CD Monda who are two points a head in the league standing.

The club's next game is the Andalucia derby on Sunday 12th of December at home against league leaders Estepona CF with a 17:00pm kickoff.
