Ten Men Atlético beat Club Deportivo A.D. Pablo Picasso CF 7-12 March, 2010

Atlético Andalucía CF played their first preparation game for the 2010-11 season against Club Deportivo A.D. Pablo Picasso CF. Atlético Andalucía CF started their playing record with a near perfect performance when Argentinian forward Maxi got on the score sheet after just only 4 minutes with a simple ball being played across the goal.

Atlético Andalucía CF continued to push forward with numerous wasted chances before adding a second goal through English forward Simon Tucker with a neat finish on the stroke of 15 minutes.

Atletico started to pick up momentum and were rewarded in 22nd minute, when forward Maxi got his second goal of the night cutting in the left side of the box and slotting the ball in the goal from close range.
Two minutes later Spanish full back David added another goal for Atletico from a well worked one two in the midfield and perfect cross from Sam Gillroy which provided David the opportunity to finish the move with a powerful header.

Shortly after Atletico pushed forward and pressed the Picasso´s defence to make a error, the ball was played back to the goalkeeper who picked the ball up for a indirect free kick. From the resulting indirect free kick Sam Gillroy set up Spanish midfielder Chispa who slotted the ball home from just inside the box to make the score 5-0 after just 33 minutes played.

The first half scoring did not end for the away team when Argentinian forward Maxi was brought down in the penatly area on 35 minutes. From the resulting penalty Maxi Scored Atletico´s sixth of the night as well as his first half hatrick.

The second half started with a new line up for Altetico with coach Share changing six players who started the game. Spanish midfielder Salva was one of the six players brought on but sadly he would only last 5 minutes before being sent off for a two footed tackle. This would change the shape of the team with Irish forward Jon Sheils playing as the lone striker. Things would get even worst when Atletico conceded a penalty which resulted to Club Deportivo A.D. Pablo Picasso CF getting on the score sheet.

Atletico replied 10 minutes later with the man of the match Maxi scoring his fourth goal on the 70 minutes mark from a through ball. The team would have several more chances to get on the score sheet. With the best chance coming when Irish forward Jon Sheils placed the ball from a Maxi back heel onto the cross bar. The game would end with an impressive 7-1 victory.

Atlético Andalucía CF´s head coach Mike Share said "I'm pleased with the score but more importantly with the performance from the team, at times we showed we can play at a much higher tempo which is pleasing and shows we are going in the correct direction. We will scout for a few more new faces before playing another game in 3 weeks time. All in all I was pleased with how things went and look forward to the next couple of weeks".

Atlético Andalucía CF´s assistant coach Craig Mander added "Tonight was a good starting point for us, and gave us a good opportunity to look at the players and see how they responded in match situations. Several players stood out and performed excellently so it does seem like we have found right blend of youth and experience so far, but our search for the best possible players is far from over. All in all im an delighted with the progress so far, and from a coaching point of view, we seem to have signed some really good players with lots of potential. I cant wait for the league to get started now".
